The Traveler's Gift
by Andy Andrews
A despairing father travels through time to meet Truman, Solomon, Chamberlain, Columbus, Anne Frank, Lincoln and Gabriel, each giving him one of seven decisions for success. It is a parable, sentimental and well made, and the seven decisions are a sound summary of the genre.
Read it if…
you want the principles delivered as a story.
Skip it if…
you want argument or evidence.
Three things you will actually use
- The buck stops here.
- I will seek wisdom.
- I will persist without exception.
Do this first
Write the seven decisions on a card and read it for a month.
Our verdict
