To do, doing, done. Three columns that stop you from starting everything and finishing nothing.
The problem it solves
Work in progress piles up: six half-finished things and nothing shipped. Lists do not show the pile; a board does.
What it is
A magnetic or cork board with three columns and movable cards or notes. Limit the doing column to two or three items.
Who it is for
Freelancers, students, side-project builders, families with shared tasks.
How to use it so it sticks
Fill to-do once a week. Pull a card into doing only when there is space. Celebrate done on Friday by clearing the column and counting the cards.
Who should skip it
If your work is one task at a time already, you do not need columns.
Verdict
The simplest workflow discipline there is, made physical. Works for one person as well as a team.
