The Sentences Running Your Bank Account
2 min read
Ask people about their finances and you get numbers for about thirty seconds and then sentences. “I have always been bad with money.” “Money just goes.” “People like us do not invest.” The numbers are the result. The sentences are the cause, or at least the thing that makes the cause feel permanent.
Nobody chose those sentences. They came from a parent at the kitchen table, from a bad year, from a comparison made at twenty-three and never revisited. Repetition made them feel like facts. They are habits of speech, and habits of speech can be replaced.

What the sentence does
“I am bad with money” gives you permission every time. It explains the purchase before you make it. It makes the budget review feel pointless, because what is the point if that is who you are. The sentence is not describing behavior; it is licensing it.
What a replacement sentence has to be
Believable to your current self, or you will argue with it. Specific to your actual week, or it stays abstract. In your name, or it is a slogan. “Priya, you open the account every Sunday and look at the real number” is a sentence that can become true. “I am a money magnet” is not.

Repetition is the hard part
You will not say the new sentence to yourself often enough to overwrite twenty years of the old one. Nobody does. The old one is heard in the background all day; the new one needs the same treatment. A script in your name, heard on the commute, on walks, while falling asleep, for a season, is how the new sentence gets the airtime the old one had for free.
Still do the arithmetic
This is not financial advice and WisdomDeck is not a financial adviser; no script replaces a budget, a plan or a professional when you need one. A script changes what you say to yourself on the way to the account. The account is still yours to open.
Ordering
WisdomDeck Custom Audio for money and business starts with a brief about the sentences you actually say and the weekly behaviors you want to be true. You approve the script in full before production, choose the voice from samples, and receive private chaptered MP3s that you own. Quote by email; nothing charged until you agree. The weekly money actions themselves are what the accountability partner service tracks.
